Carlo Williams, DPT – Founder of Care In Motion Rehab

Dr. Carlo Williams is a licensed physical therapist and the founder of Care In Motion Rehab, a cash-based concierge mobile physical therapy company. We are dedicated to providing personalized, one-on-one care without the constraints of insurance companies. With a passion for delivering high-quality treatment and a commitment to patient-centered care, Care In Motion provides an alternative to traditional insurance-based therapy models.

With 17 years of experience in both outpatient orthopedics and home health, Carlo recognized the limitations imposed by insurance companies, such as restrictions on treatment duration, frequency, and the types of services covered. These constraints often hindered the ability to provide the best possible care to patients. Motivated by the desire to offer more effective and individualized treatment, Carlo transitioned to a cash-based concierge model, allowing for greater flexibility and autonomy in patient care. This approach supports the use of advanced techniques tailored to each patient’s specific needs and consistently leads to better outcomes and greater satisfaction.

Carlo was born in Italy and raised in Virginia. He received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia in 2004. After college, he worked as a rehab aide in a skilled nursing facility to gain valuable experience in PT. He attended VCU’s Medical College of Virginia and graduated with his DPT in 2008. He then moved to Atlanta to begin his physical therapy career.

Carlo is Dry Needling certified by the American Dry Needling Institute and brings over 14 years of dry needling experience to his practice. He was also an Orthopedic Certified Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association from 2014 to 2024. After meeting his wife and getting married, he relocated to Raleigh in 2015. He and his wife, Adrianne have two beautiful children and two dogs and are proud to call Raleigh home. Carlo strives to make PT more personalized, helping the Raleigh community heal, move, and thrive.

Outside of the clinic, Carlo enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, watching sports, and gardening—especially with his vast collection of Japanese Maples. These personal passions enrich the holistic and patient-centered approach that defines Care In Motion Rehab.
